Willoughby residents rejoice as they learn that construction crews will be kept out of area wetlands, at least for the time being.
The 230 acre Riverside commons parcel, located at the intersection of Riverside Commons Drive and Apollo Parkway, is slated to soon be occuppied by at least one hotel, several stores and a few industrial buildings. This plan has been placed on hold by the Army Corps of Engineers and the EPA due to its proximity to the Chagrin River and its possible classification as a wetland, which would prevent development indefinitely.
