Annie's Home Staging

Restore, Renew, Revive, Reclaim and Redeem...and Recycle

As members of the human race, we all get caught up in the superficial, the cosmetic and image management. Some of that is part and parcel of our world, but lots of that leaves us empty and depleted. As important as we think our jobs are, our chores are, or our possessions are...lets try to keep it real out there and embrace what really matters...for me that is the simple love of my family and friends. Everything else is temporary and secondary (yes, even staging can"t compete with my love for my dear boys at home, my sister and her family out West, my new extended family here in town, so many children, and all my friends...thanks for never leaving me alone.)

This poem authored by Audrey Hepburn was sent to me as part of a "beautiful woman" email campaign. It inspired me on this last Friday in March. I hope you find it lovely as well.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good
in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful
hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk
with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things,
have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out
anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end
of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two
hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

"Restore, Renew, Revive, Reclaim and Redeem" ...sounds like a potential staging mantra, perhaps with the addition of Recycle! I like it. Thanks Audrey.
